On June 6, 2019, the Officers and Board of Directors of the Democratic Rural Conference of New York State issued a resolution opposing passage of the Farmworkers Fair Labor Practices Act as it is currently constituted.

The text of the amendments (first and second) to the By-Laws approved by the DRC Board at its July 13, 2019, meeting. If a quorum of DRC members is present at the October 15 State Committee meeting (a minimum of 40 is required for a quorum) and vote at our caucus to approve these amendments, we can implement them at the April 2020 DRC. This is especially important for the amendment that creates four new regional Vice Chairs, as it will work best to have elections for those offices in even years and for the other officers during odd years.
The DRC Board approved a new process at its meeting on July 13, 2019, to consider resolutions from the whole body at its April conference.
